Bond of Destiny

Description
Jaejoong and Hanna made a promise under Kyoto's cherry blossoms - it didn't matter how or when, they would definitely meet again. They were tied by the destiny... so it didn't matter how many times they were appart, they'd meet again. Because they were soulmates, they were made for each other.

Foreword
Looking at her sleepy son, Soo Jin kneeled and started to pray. "My dear Lord, thank you for blessing me with this child. Please make sure he grows up healthy and happy. Help him to find someone who can take care of him later, when I'm not around. Please, help him finding his true love. I'm sorry for what I'm about to do, I'm so sorry...", Soo Jin cried bitterly. At that time, Jaejoong started crying softly, as if pressenting what was going to happen. "My son, omma loves you. She always will." She promised, and kissed him on the forehead.

1. A Promise for Life

"Name and age" "His name is Han Jaejun, he's two years old." "Why did you make that decision?" The man said, looking at her as if she was a sinner. She didn't wave, and replied him in a serious tone. "I have another child to support... and I'm all alone. I can't give him what he deserves." "Doesn't he has a father?" "We're divorcee, and he doesn't care for his children at all. I don't know what to do anymore." "You can leave your child here then. We'll contact you later." Two years passed, and Jaejoong was already four years old. He was a bright boy, always smiling and playing. There was no one there who didn't like him and his cheerful being. It was when he was playing football with his friends that he met her. His friends had kicked it too far, and asked him to get it. Being the youngest, Jaejoong couldn't say no. After running a little, he saw that the ball had stopped near someone. "Hey, give me the ball", he exclaimed. The girl looked at him, inexpressive. "The ball", Jaejoong pointed "it is next to your feet. Can you give me?" "Magic word?" She asked, smiling. Jaejoong scratched his head in frustration. "I'll get it", he said and walked towards it. He was about to get it when the girl picked it up first. "Magic word, magic word." Jaejoong's eyes started to get humid. "Give me my ball! It's mine!" "Say the magic word!" "Why are you so boring?" The girl pouted "My mom always told me that we should be nice, and say 'please' and 'thank you' for others... and that we should teach others too if they didn't know how to do it." Jaejoong smirked. "Your mom sucks, then. She's as boring as you." "My mom is not boring! She's the best mom on earth!" "So why aren't you here with her?" "I'm helping my father." She said. "What's... your name?" "Give me the ball first, then I'll tell you" She pouted again "Say 'please' first". "Aish. Please, please, give me the ball." "There", she gave it to him. "I'm Hanna, by the way." "Jaejoong. Goodbye", he waved and went back to the field. Hanna sat down, looking to the ground. "Mom, mom, I miss you. I miss you." Hanna cried, but no one heard her.

Soon it turned out that the girl was the new director's daughter. She had lost her mother some time before, and her dad decided to move with her to another country. That was what made Jaejoong and Hanna meet, and start a friendship. "Those two go together everywhere", the women commented. "And to think Jaejun hated Hanna before..." "Kids hate and love in a flash of minutes, they argue and forgive so easily." "Yeah", they said. They kept doing their tasks, while Hanna and Jaejoong played happily in the park. "So, Hanna, are you an adopted child too?" He asked her, playing with sand. "I'm not. I have a father in earth, and a mother in heaven. I'm really blessed because I'm the daughter of a prince and an angel. What about you?" "I belong to this house", he pointed to the adoption center. "and I have a lot of brother and sisters, mothers and fathers. I'm blessed too." "But... You don't have a mother of your own?" "A mother of my own? What does that mean?" "Who gave birth to you, who caressed you, who gave you milk..." "I-I don't remember." Jaejoong stopped for a bit. "But I'm satisfied. I have a lot of parents, I have a lot of brothers and sisters, and I have you." "Me?" Hanna asked, confused. Jaejoong held her hand. "Yes, you. I've decided!" Jaejoong suddenly stood up. "You, Matsuura Hanna, will be my future wife. For that reason you're forbidden to leave, and you have to stay with me for eternity, right?" He smiled at her, and lend her a hand. She held it, and nodded. "For eternity, oppa. For eternity." However, that eternity didn't last long. Jaejoong was adopted one year later, had his surname changed and went with his new parents. For them, he was Kim Jaejoong instead of Han Jaejun. After months of crying and not speaking, he started to move on from those precious memories. Soon, he had forgotten it all. On the other hand, Hanna treasured all those memories, believing that they would meet again. Even when they returned to Japan, she didn't lose her hopes of seeing him again. It was when she was seventeen that she saw him again. The only pictures she had of him were enough to say it was him. Even the name was similar: Hero Jaejoong. "Do you like it, Hanna-chan?" Motoko asked, dancing. "I loove them! DBSK is surely the best band! Being in a class trip to Korea without seeing them it would be disgraceful." "Hum." She nodded. After the concert was over, Hanna looked at the big poster of him at the venue's entrance. "I wonder if he'd recognise me if he saw me now..." She sighed, and let her friends drag her to an autographs session. "They're giving autographs after the show!" Motoko said.

Hanna smiled... If she met him, he'd definitely remember her. Frowning, she saw how his line was almost empty. She tapped her friend, "Why is that guy alone? He has no fans!" "He's Kim Jaejoong" Hanna almost forgot how to breath, hearing the confirmation of her thoughts, "and he's not that popular... people just don't like him." "That's sad." No, it wasn't sad, it was heartbreaking. The Jaejoong she knew wasn't untalented. The Jaejoong she knew didn't have that sad and cold face either. And with a single thought, she moved forward to his line. One minute later, she was holding a paper and asking him to sign. "What's your name?" He asked her, with a smile. She was the first person that came to see him so decisively, the first person who seemed to like him. "I-Im Matsuura Hanna", she said, hoping for his reply. "What a cute name. Are you japanese?" "I am. But, Jaejoong oppa... Don't you recognise me?" "You?" "I was in the same orphanage as you, oppa. I'm Hanna!" Jaejoong looked at her with a confusing look. "Orphanage? I'm not an orphan. You misunderstood." "You are! Don't you remember me??? C'mon, Jaejoong, it's me! Hanna ah!" She almost yelled, and the securities hurried to hold her arms. "Wait, what are you doing?" "Hanna sshi, I'm thankful you're my fan. I just hope you can respect me for the person I am, and not the one you want me to be. Here." He gave her the autograph and smiled, while she was being dragged further and further away from him. "I can't believe I lost you, Jaejoong... I can't believe it." Hanna cried. Her best friend and first love didn't even remember her, and she was sure she wouldn't meet him again. But destiny is full of surprises... and his mother prayers as well. Three years later, when they were twenty, they met again. Because they were tied by a bond of destiny.

2. A Beautiful Encounter
In 2005, DBSK finally debuted in Japan, and one year later they were already really popular. After all those hardships, they were able to succeed. Their tears, blood and strength were able to do something they never imagined - to spread the hallyu wave that their sunbae, BoA, started. Soon, japanese people were rendered to DBSK, to whose they called Tohoshinki (THSK). "You're almost japanese, guys" The manager said, holding a newspaper. "Check this." "What?" Yunho read it out loud. "For the first time in history, foreign singers were able to enter in Oricon Chart, taking the place of japanese artists. The only foreign group that talks and acts like japanese people. We smell success." "Yeah", they hugged each other in victory. All the pain was erased to give place to joy.

Jaejoong walked at night for a bit, after going to the supermarket. It was nice not to be recognisable sometimes, even if it meant he wasn't that popular yet. Differently from his debut days, he was a lot more popular. He got what he wanted with a big price. Lost in thoughts, he didn't realise the looks people were giving him. "Isn't it Hero Jaejoong? The one from THSK?" "Yes..." Soon, there was a small crowd of fans following him. Looking back, Jaejoong for scared and started moving faster. A little after, the fans were basically running after him. He wasn't really in the mood of facing them, and he was honestly afraid. He wasn't that fluent in japanese to be able to get off that situation if it got dangerous... he was running without directions, until he seemed to have outwitted them. After calming down for a bit, he saw a girl in front of him. She was shocked to the point she made Jaejoong scared. "Y-You're Jaejoong! We meet again!" Jaejoong frowned, and tried to walk back. "Wait! They're still looking for you, you better hide." She said. Holding his hand while running, she guided him to a place she knew.

"She... took me to her house?" Jaejoong was a bit taken back, but she smiled as she understood his fears. "It's okay. I won't bite you or anything. I just don't like how those fans are so obcessive." Jaejoong smiled. "It doesn't matter how many years I'm in this field, I'm still not used to it." "Yeah, you used to be such a lively boy, no one could try to confine you." She said, smiling. "You, how do you know?" Almost poking her own head, she shrugged. "I just guessed. I'm Hanna, what about you?" "I'm Jaejoong... You forgot?" "Oh, right..." She blushed. "So, are you hungry?" "Well... Not really", he said, but his tummy betrayed him by making a big sound. She just laughed, making him atonished by its sounds. Somehow his heart started to beat faster, and a warm sensation surrounded him. "I'll cook ramen... I'm sorry, I'm out of grocery." "It's okay", he said. "Can I help you?" "No! Just sit and watch tv, or something." She said. Singing in a low tone, Hanna started cooking. It was sad that he didn't remember her, but she was happy that she could share those moments with him too. Heavens had give her a great gift, even if it was for a day she was thankful. Meanwhile, Jaejoong was getting bored watching tv. "Japanese is still too difficult to m", he started to say when it hit him... That girl, Hanna, had been talking korean to him since the beginning. Was she korean? But she seemed japanese... He stood up to clear that doubt when he saw a picture on his way to the kitchen. It was a picture of a woman, a man and a child. "That man, I know him..." Jaejoong mumbled to himself. "Wait, I know. It's in my mother's pictures... He was the director of the orphanage." Suddenly he heard the sound of something breaking. The plates with ramen were all broken, and the ramen was spilled on the ground. Hanna ignored it, and just asked him "Y-You know who is him? You finally remember... or you just ignored me when I asked you about that?" "When you asked...? Isn't it the first time we meet?" Hanna fell on the ground, making Jaejoong worried. "Hey, are you okay?"

"So, it doesn't matter how I appear in your life... because you never remember me afterwards." "We met? Really?" "At.... an autograph session." Hanna said, sobbing. "I t-told you that I was Hanna. YYou didn't recognise me, and the security guards sent me off" Jaejoong looked at her, and tried to recall those memories. "When was it?" "Around three years ago, when you were finishing a concert in Seoul. You didn't have many people in your line, so you received me pretty warmly-" "AH! I REMEMBER IT! The big fan!" He exclaimed. "Huh?" "I'm sorry." He said, touching her shoulder. "I tend to forget things... But believe me, when you approached me back then I still didn't know that I was adopted. Actually, that's still recent for me. Just that my mother showed me some pictures, and I recognised your father." "What... about me?" Jaejoong looked down. "I-I don't have any pictures of you. I'm sorry." "Wait!" Hanna said, and ran to her room. After a while, she came back. "Here. A picture of us." Jaejoong held it, and looked carefully. As much as he tried to remember, he couldn't. As much as he didn't want to see the disappointment in her eyes, he couldn't lie either. "I don't remember. I really don't. I'm sorry." He said. "Maybe it will only take time, ok? When I come back I'll ask my mother about it!" "You're leaving?" "Yes, I have two more weeks left." "Oh." "So, should I try to cook this time?" Jaejoong suggested. "I'm hungry as hell." Hanna smiled sadly. "Yeah. Thank you." After eating, Jaejoong's manager appeared and they said goodbye. "Thank you for everything you did for me, Hanna. I swear you, I'll try to remember." "It's okay." Hanna said "Maybe our friendship was just a childish thing, something onesided." "Don't say that. I'm sure it meant something to me too", he said. With that, he shook her hand, and left. Jaejoong and Hanna didn't stop thinking about each other during that night. Hanna was crying all she could so that on the next day she could rise again as if nothing had happened, while Jaejoong was trying to recall those memories. He had called his mom, and she indeed told him that he had a cute girl as a friend, and that he liked her so much that he never talked to them for a lot of months, but it didn't wake his memory. Why couldn't he remember? He went to bed with that thought, but he wasn't ready for the dreams that appeared in his sleep after. "Bless my child with an eternal love."

"Oppa, why don't you go play?", a little girl asked him. "Because I prefer to be with you", the boy answered him. "Hanna, I'll be always by your side. It's a promise." He said, holding up his pinky finger. Joining both pinky fingers, they swore love for eternity. "Hanna chan!!! Let me be with Hanna chan!!! I DON'T WANT A FAMILY!!! I DON'T", and then Jaejoong woke up. A thousand of images went through his head, all his precious memories with Hanna... the ones he seemed to have forgotten. Se fosses luz, amor, ai luz do dia Sorriso inspirador de fantasia Mas entre tudo que possas ser na vida S quero, meu amor, sejas vida minha E em mim s segue o desejo de chegar pra te abraar "I can't be here anymore", Jaejoong said and stood up. Wearing something random, he left the house. In fifteen minutes he was already on Hanna's door, knocking like crazy. "Hanna!! Hanna!! Hanna!! Open it! Open the door!" He was about to yell, when the door was finally opened, revealing an Hanna with swollen eyes and lack of sleep. "What are y-", she was cut when Jaejoong went forward and hugged her tight. "I remember everything now. I remember you, my princess, my precious Hanna. I remember you", he said, and then backed away to cup her face with his hands. "how could I have forgotten you? Will you ever forgive me? Will you?" "I already did, to be honest." She said, crying of happiness. Jaejoong approached his face of hers and they touched foreheads. Looking eye-to-eye, Jaejoong smiled. "You know, you got prettier. Maybe that's why I didn't recognise y-AISH!" He was interrupted by Hanna's kick. "Are you saying I wasn't pretty back then?" "You were and still are!! I just wanted to see if you were still the girl I used to tease and like so much." "Well, I wasn't the one who changed." "Nope, because in the end I'm still the Jaejoong you met. The Jaejoong that only loves Hanna." Jaejoong touched Hanna's tears with his finger, and wiped it. "A princess doesn't cry when her knight is around to protect her." "Will you stay?" "As long as I can, yes." "Promise", she demanded, showing her pinky finger. They joined his pinky fingers and promised, looking at each other.

"Oh, right." He took something from his pocket. "Give me your number. We can't loose contact." "Yes." They exchanged numbers, and she unwillingly let him leave. "I'll come back, ok? I promised already!" "Ok!" Hanna waved him, still pouting. Jaejoong smiled and approached her again. "Be strong, princess. I'll call you tomorrow. Bye". With a small peak on her cheek, he said goodbye and left. Hanna went back to bed, the sleep finally appearing. "Jaejoong, thank you." When she was about to sleep her phone beeped. She took it and read the message: "As always, I enjoyed to be with you. Goodbye, princess. Dream about me. Kiss <3" She didn't know how they became so close from a childhood relationship, but she knew it was something to be thankful for. She slept with a warming feel, for the first time in so long. Se fosses luz, amor, ai luz do dia Sorriso inspirador de fantasia Se fosses gua, amor, qual gua pura Que mata a sede flor da ternura The next days were absolutely heaven for them. Each break of Jaejoong would be passed with Hanna, and even DBSK members would grumble at Jaejoong's lack of time for them. They were so happy that they just wished that the time stopped. Holding hands, hugging, they did it everytime they could, everytime there was no one around. And then, the time they had to be separated came. "Hanna-chan", Jaejoong started, connecting hands. He was sat behind her, holding her while she rested. "Yeah?" "W-We're leaving the day after tomorrow." "What?" She broke the contact to look at him. "Is that serious? Why?" Jaejoong sighed. "We have our activities in Japan done... We're going to do a comeback in Korea next month, and we need to get ready." Hanna didn't say anything for a while, until Jaejoong stood up and pulled her with him. "Hanna, listen to me. You know that this time I won't forget you, ok? My feelings for you seem to have grownth with time, it's definitely something that won't break. Believe me." "I believe you, but... I'm afraid." "Afraid of what?"

"Afraid that you won't comeback", she mumbled. He smiled and held her chin up. "Idiot. Of course I'll come back. You want to see? Here. "He took his bracelet off, and gave it to her. "I'm sure you know what this is. This is my older sister's bracelet, the one I love since I was a child... You know what it means to me, right? Please accept it. It's a proof that I'll come get it." He said, and helped her putting in on. Like that, they shared their first kiss and made their loving votes. They'd be together. Forever. In front of the cherry blossom, they swore that... and when both were apart, they knew each other's love, the love that was still present even though they were in different places, different countries. They knew that the bond they shared would make them meet again, no matter the circunstances. Mas entre tudo que possas ser na vida S quero, meu amor, sejas vida minha
