Nicholas Charles Sparks

commonly known as Nicholas Sparks was born on 31 December,

1965 in Omaha, Nebraska. He graduated from the university of Notre Dame in 1988. Sparks graduated
with honors and also met his future wife, Catherine Cote, a New Hampshire girl, while on spring break. A
year later, the two were married, Nicholas and Catherine moved to Sacramento, California, where Sparks
continued to write (he finished a second novel, which again went unpublished) and took on a string of jobs
(waiter, real estate appraiser, telemarketer) to make ends meet. Sparks eventually settled on a career that
centered on the manufacturing of orthopedic goods. It wasn't exactly a thriving business, but Sparks
worked doggedly to make it profitable. More importantly, Sparks continued to write. In 1994 he got his first
break when he teamed up with Billy Mills, a friend and Olympic medalist on a book called Wokini: A Lakota
Journey to Happiness and Self-Understanding, a story built around a Lakota allegory. Then his career
started a few years later, when he published The Notebook. Afterwards he is one of the most criticallyacclaimed authors of the past years. He is the author of the best-selling books, including The Notebook
and The Rescue. Ten of his books Message in a Bottle (1999), A Walk to Remember (2002), The
Notebook (2004), Nights in Rodanthe (2008), Dear John (2010), The Last Song (2010), The Lucky
One (2012), Safe Haven (2014), Best of Me (2014) and The Longest Ride (2015) have been adapted
into blockbuster movies; he also have an upcoming movies which is The Choice (2016). Now Sparks lives
