Magazine Mogul S.I. Newhouse Dies At 89

Under the billionaire's leadership, magazines such as Vogue, Vanity Fair and The New Yorker flourished into major cultural influences.

Media titan S.I. Newhouse Jr., who as the longtime chairman of Condé Nast stood at the helm of some of the nation's most prominent magazines, died Sunday at his home in New York.

He was 89.
