• 2.5m (27⁄8yd) print fabric suitable for fussy cutting star

centres (star centres and Border 2)

• 1m (11⁄8yd) cream tone-on-tone print fabric

• 1.9m (21⁄8yd) solid dark pink (star points, Borders 1 and 3, and binding)

• 75cm (7⁄8yd) light green print fabric (star points)

• 3m (31⁄2yd) border print fabric (Border 4) — see Note

• 4.3m (43⁄4yd) backing fabric

• Batting at least 110cm (85in) square

• Template plastic and fine permanent-marking pen

• Fine mechanical pencil

• Stiff paper or light cardboard

• Magic Mirror by Marti Michell or similar (optional)

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• Sewing machine with 1⁄4in foot

• General sewing supplies

Note: You need to cut six matching strips down the length of the border print fabric for Border 4. The yardage listed is sufficient if you’re able to cut all six lengths with exactly the same part of the design printed in the same place on each strip from one width of the fabric. If the
