Some people’s legacies are written into history so indelibly that it will be impossible to forget their achievements. Geoff Emerick was one of those. As an engineer on the most storied record in music history, , his contribution could have been reduced to mere happenstance. After all, an engineer needs to be there to record an album, and maybe Geoff just happened to be that guy. Of course, Geoff wasn’t just engineer. Not only was the all-time greatest songwriting team in the studio for those sessions, but also a pair of the greatest sets of engineering ears we’ve ever had.
