SILENT BUT DEADLY ZERO SR/F

Back in 2006 when former NASA engineer and founder of Zero Motorcycles, Neal Saiki, decided to slot a rudimentary electric motor to a frame that wasn’t much more than that of a mountain bike, he probably didn’t envisage his California-based company to one day become the largest seller of premium electric motorcycles in the world. But it did. And not only are they selling a shed load of bikes, they are starting to sell plenty of them over here too. Last year, the European market overtook North America in terms of units sold.

Each year more and more people are tempted by the lure of ’lecky, but it’s probably safe to say that it hasn’t really caught on yet, has it?
