HOW TO CHANGE YOUR CLUTCH PLATES

1 Stick your new plates in oil

You wouldn’t expect that to be number one, would you? Well, it’s one of the most important parts of the job. Always soak your new clutch plates in oil for about 24 hours, otherwise all your hard work from the clutch maintenance will be undone in no time at all. Do not skip this step, or it will be buggered when you run the machine.

2 Get your bike on a stand or a sidestand

Usually, if you’re replacing a clutch, it means you’ve done a fair amount of miles, so it’s a good time to replace the oil as well.
