‘Eccentric’ collector and steam monorail inventor dies in Wales

THE heritage railway world has been in mourning for narrow gauge collector Rich Morris, a man affectionately described as an‘eccentric enthusiast.’
Rich is perhaps best known for setting up the former Gloddfa Ganol museum collection near Blaenau Ffestiniog, and for inventing a steam monorail locomotive.
He passed away in a care home in North Wales on September 2. Believed to have been 80, he had been unwell for several years.
Rich began his collection in 1962/63
