Bloody Beemer!

Those of you daft enough not to see my byline and move on to the next article will know from last month that I was approached by an unfeasibly tall Scotsman, Adrian, with BMW Motorrad’s answer to a sports bike in the years before they created the awesome S1000 RR.

While the R1100 S isn’t quite the sportsbike that the S1000 RR is, Adrian has still ridden the wheels off his around racetracks for the odd giggle. To this end, he pepped up the suspension with custom-made replacement shocks front and back from Maxton and more recently fitted an extra-large fuel tank to extend the range to around 160 miles.
