They say the more things change, the more they stay the same. That’s certainly the case for Coomber Bros Jewellers in the south-western Queensland town of Roma. As the home-grown jeweller in the town’s main street celebrates its centenary this year, owners Carol and Gary Schefe say the essence of the business success has barely changed: quality, service and a good measure of confidentiality remain as important today as they ever were.
