ACCEPTABLE IN THE EIGHTIES

Dear Classic American, I write in response to your editor’s viewpoint article in edition no. 343 regarding ’80s, ’90s and Noughties cars. While I concur with his viewpoint that many ’80s onwards “classics” are maybe a frightening proposition to many owners due to their complexities, not to mention some models’ challenging looks, what needs to be taken into account is that these cars are the only affordable entry into classic American ownership for many people now.
