That Syncing Feeling

The basic science of oscillator sync is that the first oscillator (called the master, and usually Osc 1) is set to track the keyboard, providing the correct pitch reference. It modulates the second oscillator (called the slave, usually Osc 2) so that the period, or cycle of Osc 2 is reset every time Osc 1 finishes a cycle. When the two oscillators are not set to the same frequency the master forces the slave to reset at irregular intervals during its cycle, producing interesting harmonic results. This is
