Volca Drum

$150 korg.com

Si Truss is the editor of Electronic Musician and Future Music magazines

Strengths

+ Surprisingly deep multilayer drum engine at a bargain price

+ Fantastic-sounding Wave Guide resonator effect

+ Punchy, characterful sound that’s great for left-field club music

Limitations

- Singleaudiooutputisa little restrictive

Rather than use PCM
