    Weardale and Dartmoor lines offered for sale

    BRITISH American Railway Services (BARS), the owner of Country Durham’s Weardale Railway and the Dartmoor Railway in Devon, is seeking new owners for both railways after putting the lines up for sale.

    The decision comes following BARS’parent company, the American firm Iowa Pacific Holdings of Chicago, being placed in receivership last year after financially supporting BARS
