Car nuts with long memories recall the British Leyland Motor Corporation, that 1970s conglomeration of English automakers that included famous marques like MG, Triumph, Jaguar, and Land Rover. Less familiar to American consumers were BL divisions sold primarily in the home markets, like Austin, Morris, and Rover.
