    like to spend time outdoors and always enjoy visiting my local park. An element of fun I often add when visiting the park is setting up a small QRP transceiver and deploying a simple wire antenna for true portable operation. One of my favorite antennas to use for portable operation is an end-fed made from lamp cord or speaker wire. It is a simple design constructed from a 25-foot length of lamp cord with one of the two conductors cut at 25 feet and the other conductor cut at 12.5 feet. The conductors are
