    Since the foundation of your next engine build is dependent on the crankcase, it’s essential to choose one that’s worthy of your time and effort. Taking a look at some basics before you choose one will save you time and frustration, as well as help to organize the items you will need to complete the build.

    If you’ve just bought a brand-new case, there aren’t as many items to check as opposed to a used swap meet special. There are however a few things to keep in mind even when it’s brand spanking new, out of the box. Take a good look at the “case saver” installation. Those are the little steel inserts that keep the head studs from pulling out of the magnesium around the cylinders. Are they
