GIVE AN OLD SHELF NEW LEGS
Project notes
• Look out for old furniture legs and steel shelving at second-hand stores and scrapyards. Furniture legs are available in various styles; we used Queen Anne legs.
• Steel shelving units come in various sizes; ours is 920 (W) x 460mm (D). Adjust your wooden base according to the size of your steel unit.
• Remember to drill pilot holes where necessary.
YOU WILL NEED
• steel shelving• 22 x 96mm planed pine, cut to:two lengths of 910mmtwo lengths of 420mm• Alcolin Ultra Wood Glue• 120-grit sandpaper• ± twenty-four 8mm x 40mm chipboard screws• paint• wood filler• four wooden furniture legs
