One Thing I Can’t Explain

Have you ever had an experience you just couldn’t explain?

I’m a middle school science teacher. There’s nothing I love more than graphs, proofs and facts. As I tell my students, there’s not much you can’t explain with some good, old-fashioned math and physics.

But I had one experience in my life that, for a long time, I just couldn’t figure out. An event no scientific proof or equation could solve. Something that defied all logic.

I was 38 years old at the time. Recently divorced from the man of my dreams. At least, I’d thought he was the man of my dreams. We were so happy
