One of our own

Graham Cox led an extraordinarily full life, one that took him from being the Vice Chairman of the Kennel Club Field Trial Sub Committee to Associate Professor at Bath University. He was best known for his gundog writing and photography. Graham’s written contributions and influence reached far within the gundog community and from his first Shooting Gazette article on the stop whistle to re-writing the field trial J Regs with David Paterson, there is no question he explored and interpreted an abundance of topics that reflected his devotion to the sport.

Graham’s two passions were sport and art. At school he played football and competed in athletics during the summer months. He went on to play football at Cambridge for his college, the university and briefly one year for a local non-league team. When they met, Graham told Marilyn he very much
