Staying power – harnessing sun, wind and waste
IN search of the perfect renewable technology, I once found myself staring at a giant gut-like sausage machine with a continual feed of farm waste at one end, fermenting steadily through its passage, releasing methane as it went, to deposit a fibrous solid compost and digestate liquid at the other.
