• Don’t forget about yourself – particularly if you’re a mum too! Schedule brunch for late morning so you get a lie-in – and ask everyone to pitch in and help!

• Make it special by laying the table with pretty cutlery and napkins, a big jug of fresh juice and beautiful fresh flowers that Mum can take home with her. To get ahead, set the table the night before. If the kids want to help get them to make some place cards or decorations for the table.
