300g good-quality milk chocolate, chopped
150g unsalted butter, chopped, plus extra to grease
6 large eggs, at room temperature


cocoa powder, to dust double cream, to serve

1. Preheat oven to 160°C. Lightly grease and line a deep 20cm round, loose-bottomed cake tin with baking paper. Wrap the outside of the cake tin in 3 layers of extra-wide foil, to make the tin watertight.

Melt the chocolate and butter together in a medium pot over a low heat, stirring occasionally. Once combined, set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
