The post-holiday BLUES

You’ve lounged by the pool sipping cocktails. You’ve averaged two massages a day and you’ve re-connected with your partner in more ways than one. But now the holiday’s over and, like your bikini, your happy mood’s been packed away. The post-holiday blues have set in.

“Many people feel quite blue and upset about returning to the daily grind after a holiday,” says health and wellbeing psychologist, Dr Marny Lishman.

“People often describe feeling most alive when they’re on holidays. They get to spend time doing things because they want to, rather than because they have to, so everything’s enjoyable and carefree. It’s not always the case when they get home.”
