This sequel to the 2013 original reunites intrepid sisters Elsa (voiced by Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell), along with Anna’s trusty snowman companion Olaf (Josh Gad), ice harvester Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) – who, while in love with Anna, has trouble actually proposing to her – and Kristoff’s loyal reindeer Sven (also Groff).

When kicks off, three years have passed since the end of the first instalment. Still the queen of Arendelle, Elsa is troubled by siren calls that seem to come from the Enchanted Forest, a mysterious mist-enshrouded area that is entwined with the girls’ family history. No-one enters the forest – which is ruled by the elemental spirits of Earth, fire, water and air – and no-one gets out.
