PEUGEOT 4008 FROM $27,990

Peugeot’s 4008 range opens with the 100kW 2.0-litre petrol/five-speed manual Active, featuring front-wheel drive, at $27,990. A continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) adds $2000 to the price.

The all-wheel-drive Active costs $33,490 with CVT, as tested.

The 4008 is actually made in Japan. It’s a rebadged Mitsubishi ASX and the Peugeot’s 2.0-litre petrol engine is also used in the Mitsubishi Lancer.
