We don’t just play games, we feel them. While what’s inside a console is obviously important, on a moment-to-moment basis the controller can make an even bigger difference. For those of us who spend hours gaming, what’s in our hands while we do it can be a defining aspect of the hobby. PlayStation 5’s controller, the DualSense, has been designed with this in mind to bring ‘a new feeling of immersion to players’, taking the lessons learned from the DualShock 4 to a new level. Just as PS5’s 3D Tempest audio is innovating with sound, the DualSense is pushing the boundaries of how touch can be used in games.
