Single-Switch Station Command

With new gadgets constantly being developed for our ham shacks, it’s inevitable that our operating positions get more and more complicated almost every day. Sometimes it’s hard keeping up, occasionally causing us to forget to throw that extra switch (or five) to activate station accessories when we need to take our stations from “stand by” mode to “full on” status. How do we maximize the usefulness of our gadgets without having to go through a checklist that would rival a NASA launch sequence?

A certain percentage of this is done by the computer running our digital modes: Have the computer do it. That works only to a certain point since not everyone runs digital modes, or has a computer wired up to run everything in the ham shack. This leaves plenty of things that we either need
