“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure,” said visiting medical herbalist Mary Allan as she began her talk on Great Barrier Island just before the Covid-19 crisis got underway in New Zealand. She’d planned to speak on safe and effective ways to support and strengthen the immune system as we move towards autumn and winter, the seasons when colds and flu are on the increase.

Then she added: “especially this year, with a virus pandemic looking possible”. Just after she arrived, a global pandemic was declared. In the world’s present circumstances, an ounce of prevention is worth a tonne of cure. Mary shared valuable advice on whole plant medicine for whole body immunity.
