The vehicles that the firm ran in the 1960s, 70s and 80s were a draw for many road transport enthusiasts, including myself, with a fleet where the lorries were not only given fleet numbers, but were also given (predominantly girls) names as well. Also, of note was the firm’s distinctive traditional two-tone blue livery, with red chassis and wheels, which brought them to our notice
