At the time of first print, Bonita Creswell-Young lives in a century-old house she has painstakingly restored at Hepburn Springs, in the heart of Victoria’s spa country. She harvests a bounty of fruit from the apple, pear, plum, peach and fig trees the original German-Swiss-Italian owners planted when they built the house. Bonita turns the fruit into pies, jams and preserves, grows her own vegetables (and trades with her neighbours), bakes her own bread
