IsoAcoustics Gaia Titan Theis

I would like to thank Jim Austin for taking the time to test-drive the GAIA-Titan Theis in his own space and thoughtfully describing his experience. Jim’s comments highlight the contemporary thinking concerning loudspeaker placement, the connection with the supporting surface or boundary condition, and the challenges represented by Newton’s third law; he then goes on to describe the more open and spatial sound he was hearing with the GAIA-Titans.

Spikes are currently the de facto standard and are provided by most speaker manufacturers. Where isolators in the past have provided some vertical isolation for a limited weight and/or frequency range, their lack of lateral resistance can result in issues like “sucking the bass out” due to Newton’s third law. Our challenge is “not to be painted with the same brush,” as our multipart design manages the vertical and lateral forces to provide greater clarity and openness.
