BRILLANT WEEKEND AT STATFOLD BARN

The Statfold Barn Railway is a hidden gem for all types of steam enthusiasts. Situated a few miles north of Tamworth on the Staffordshire/Warwickshire border. In mid-September, Statfold hosted a two-day Road & Rail Festival which attracted a wide range of exhibits encompassing a broad spectrum of transport themes.

The Road & Rail Festival was subject to Covid-19 regulations, with all tickets being purchased via the internet in advance to restrict numbers. Social distancing rules were in operation, with hand sanitisers available at numerous locations around the site, and the wearing of face masks was also expected at the indoor areas and on the trains themselves.

The railway was certainly the main attraction at the event, with the main station at Statfold Junction being the focus of operations. Taking one of the trains from there is definitely a highlight of any visit, with trips taking visitors on the three-mile round trip through
