One thing I get asked all the time is, “what is the strumming pattern for song X?” and I’m hoping after this article that you won’t ever ask it. And we’re going to dive a little deeper into groove, too.

The first thing to realise is that most songs don’t have one strumming pattern all the way through. Seriously, they don’t. Hardly any at all - there probably are some but I can’t think of one now that’s exactly the same from start to finish.
