    The winners of the Auckland Astronomical Society’s annual national astrophotography competition have been chosen, with the announcement made at the Society’s annual gala Burbidge Dinner on November 7. You can see a slideshow of the images at . The Auckland Astronomical Society () is New Zealand’s largest, with more than 600 members. It was founded in 1923 and is based at the Stardome Observatory and Planetarium near Auckland’s famous Maungakiekie/One Tree Hill.
