Intimidation persists

Last month, three senior representatives of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) were questioned by Senators Tony Sheldon and Paul Scarr regarding the letter sent to me which threatened 10 years in jail for talking about low rates in trucking in this opinion column of Owner//Driver magazine.

After watching the full 30-minute questioning online, it was apparent that ACCC chair Rod Sims agreed that the heavy-handed approach was not appropriate. And yet, the competition regulator continues to both stand by the threatening letter and protect whoever it was that encouraged them
