The village of Rovaniemi in Finnish Lapland is regarded as the official residence of Santa Claus and it’s one of Finland’s top tourist destinations.

Usually Santa is there every day to greet the 500,000 tourists who visit annually, but even old Kris Kringle has to follow COVID-19 restrictions.

This year, Santa is hearing children’s Christmas wishes from behind plexiglass and elves are wearing masks.
