Breakthrough as chassis found for vintage Hull & Barnsley carriage

THE Hull & Barnsley Railway Stock Fund (HBRSF) has made a significant step forward with its project to return its historic four-wheeled carriage No. 1 to operational condition following the acquisition of a suitable chassis.

Progress has also been made with the ongoing restoration of bogie coach No. 58, which like No. 1, is being restored by students at Hull College with the assistance of volunteers from the HBRSF.
