IT AIN’T HYDRO

As a first-time reader (well, first time since high school!), I did enjoy issue 494 of the magazine. The article on hydraulic clutches was good, but the terminology was confusing. You used both hydro and hydraulic in the feature.

The problem I see with this is that, typically, hydro is water (like Snowy Mountains hydroelectricity) and hydraulic is some form of oil pushing things like pistons about . Admittedly hydraulic is any kind of fluid as a force but, generally speaking, they are two separate terms in the real world.
