NATALIE DJOHARI FROM LONDON
Natalie and her family grow veg in their garden and also have a small community plot. For Natalie the plot is an escape from the pressures of work and running a household, and away to connect to nature.
Where do you grow your veg?
When we moved here five years ago I set up two raised beds at the bottom of the garden but soon expanded to dotting more fruit and veg into the borders, and growing a huge amount in various pots on the decking. Last year I managed to get a small plot only 2x4m in the community gardens at the end of my road. This has allowed me to grow things that take up too much space at home such as winter squashes, purple sprouting broccoli and sprouts.
How long have you been growing veg?
I only really started growing veg when I moved into a shared student house that had a garden 17 years ago. I lived with an Italian friend who missed being able to buy quality fresh
