Chester started it all--he spotted an omen. And then Bunnicula was gone. And then Howie, Harold and Chester are being loaded up into the car and shipped off to Chateau Bow Wow, which Chester had previously renamed Howliday Inn. Once there, a mysterious pile of bones with a collar labeled Rosebud and a melancholic great dane named Hamet promises not only a busy vacation, but quite possibly a dangerous one. Just another fast read for the sake of reading something fun. As always, Howe delivers a fun story involving the zany cat Chester jumping to conclusions and investigating into every corner and the substantially more relaxed Harold along for the ride.

I enjoyed this kind of quirky ghost story/mystery series as a kid. Chester, Harold, and Howie have a seemingly supernatural mystery to solve concerning the disappearence of a pet and a possible disaster for everyone. When they discover that the pet has not disappeared they discover the answers to a different, non-supernatural mystery.

A cute little story about Chester and Harold returning to Chateau Bow-Wow this time with Howie and tow. So much better than the last book but I have to say not as great as the first Howliday Inn. In this one you'll find new characters and new twists and turns and of all things... Hamlet jokes! ? Got to love it!
