About this audiobook

Mallory Quinn has had enough of playing it safe. As a nurse and devoted daughter, she takes care of everyone but herself. And as the local good girl, she's expected to date Mr. Right. But for once, she'd like to take a risk on Mr. Wrong. And who could be more wrong than Ty Garrison? The mysterious new guy in town has made it clear that he's only passing through, which suits Mallory just fine. Besides, his lean, hard body and sexy smile will give her plenty to remember once he's gone . . .
For the first time in his life, Ty can't bear to leave. Helping this sexy seductress-in-training walk on the wild side is making him desire things he shouldn't, including leaving the military for good. As their just-for-fun fling becomes something more, Mallory and Ty wonder if they could really be this lucky in love. After all . . . anything can happen in a town called Lucky Harbor.

This was a great book! I loved it! Ty was a fantastic lead. Mallory was a great match. They had wonderful chemistry. Lucky Harbour is becoming home to me! This is a super series. I am looking forward to the rest!

I have to say, so far I like the second trilogy of Lucky Harbor books much more than the first. I'm finding the new trio of heroines--friends Mallory, Amy, and Grace--a lot more "relatable" than the first three (sisters Maddie, Tara, and Chloe), which may or may not be related to the fact that they are all three confirmed chocoholics. This series has definitely improved as it has developed. The audio, which I listened to, was well done and included an awesome-sounding chocolate cake recipe as well as teaser chapters from the next two books and was cleverly designed to make sure I put them both on my Audible wish list.

This is officially my favorite of this series so far and it's going to be difficult to top it. I ADORED this book. All the characters were wonderful and I found Lucky Harbor as charming as usual. Ty has got to be one of the best heroes ever. He's got that whole tortured past thing, but he's still this incredibly decent guy. I loved Mallory too, because she started out being this good girl, always doing for others, and she learned that sometimes it's okay to do for yourself as well. This book definitely left me with a happy feeling. Can't wait to read about the other Chocoholics.

This book was fantastic. Jill Shalvis has the right amount of humor and emotion in all of her books. I couldn't put it down!

Enjoyable story with plenty of action and lots of funny parts but the hero was too stubborn in his anti-relationship stance. I preferred the heroes in the previous books of this series. Nurse Mallory is at a restaurant when a snow storm strikes with trees through windows and she gives aid to mysterious cut guy Ty.

Oh, Mallory and Ty took my breath away. The sexiest of the books so far and I think my new favorite.

4.5 stars. Really a light, fun, sexy read. Slightly damaged hero Ty has the proverbial heart of gold, Mallory is a Good Girl Trying To Be Bad, and despite a hot and sexy impulse hook-up in the attic of the Veteran's Hall, she's not very good at being bad. Lots of wonderful sexual tension, lovely small town feel with EVERYBODY in everybody else's business. I want to live in Lucky Harbor, and I want to dig into some of that cake with Mallory, Amy and Grace.

Nits: It's not really clear where the diner is. Originally, the Eat Me sounds like it's on the mainland - it has to be, right, if trees blown down by a storm can block the front AND back doors? Later, it sounds like the diner is actually ON the pier, but since I've never seen a pier with trees... There's also Ty's boss, described near the beginning as a redhead, then towards the end as a stacked blonde. (Guess she could've changed her stylist.) And speaking of hair... the constant references to Mallory's hair by BOTH her and Ty began to get a little annoying.

Although there are appearances by some of the characters from earlier Lucky Harbor books (love Lucille and the town FaceBook page!), it works perfectly well as a standalone. Really a delight from cover to cover.

This one was just "eh" for me. I wish the characters from previous books in the series were more than just tangentially mentioned. That said, it was a cute story and I enjoyed it, though I hated the "chocolate sayings" at the beginning of each chapter. They were just annoying and dumb.

Yet another solid, swoony romance from the fabulous Jill Shalvis. When I'm in a rut with reading, I know that I can always count on her books to pull me out of mediocrity, and Lucky in Love was no different.

As the fourth book in the Lucky Harbor series, I wasn't quite sure where Jill was going to go with the last three in the series. The first three were all in my top five favorite books of hers, so there were definitely some big shoes to fill.

Though Lucky in Love takes place in Lucky Harbor, the small town the first three books are set in, we don't really see any of the characters from those books. There was mention here and there, but it was almost like we started all over with a whole new set of characters in this book. That was one of the very few qualms I had with Lucky in Love. I love, love, loved Maddie, Tara, Chloe, Jax, Ford & Sawyer, and I would have loved to see them continued through these books. That's one of the bonuses of reading companion books, in my opinion, that you get to see glimpses of your favorite couples after their Happily Ever After. Unfortunately, we didn't get that in book four, and I was sorely disappointed because of that.

However, I quickly got over my disappointment because Jill once again gave us a new set of wonderful, relatable characters that were funny, heartwarming, and, in the case of the heroes, big, bad romantic tough guys.

Ty ranked right up there for me with the likes of Jax and Brady, and that is a tall order. His protective nature, his charm, his huge heart (not to mention the fact that he was a SEAL...) all completely won me over. Mallory's story was a wonderful one to watch unfold, and it was great to see her grow and develop as a character.

The only other qualm I had with this book was the predictability of it. Jill has a definite formula to her writing, and I wish, just once, she'd surprise me and throw me for a loop.

Even with the predictable ending, this was a good, solid read. It gave me my fix of swoony fluff, and sometimes you just need a feel good book. Jill delivers once again.

Another great Lucky Harbor novel. I like that Shalvis has done a spinoff of the sisters with the Chocoholics.

We have Mallory the goody good nurse who has a mission of opening up her Clinic. Shes always been a good girl who followed all the rules and lived to make everyone else happy.

Ty Garrison is the Mysterious hottie in town. Nobody knows too much about him. which makes him all that more sexier. One night he has a little accident mallory is there to help him along with her little posse (Grace and Amy) and somehow ends up agreeing to be her date for a charity auction.

Put Mallory (who wants to take a walk on the wild side) and Ty garrison together and the sparks and attraction is electrifying.

I didnt put this book down not at all. love it recommend it!

Mallory Quinn is a good girl. A nurse in the small town of Lucky Harbour, she is used to being seen as the town sweetheart and a complete opposite to her crazy siblings. When a storm scares the beejesus out of her and her friends whilst they are trapped at the fabulously named “Eat-Me” diner, she vows to bring some crazy into her life, starting with dating a Mr Wrong. When a stranger hurt in the storm lands on the doorstep of the diner, it looks like someone has heard her new vow and sent her a sexy man in the shape of Ty Garrison.

Ty Garrison has been in Lucky Harbour for months, but he hasn’t really tried to integrate himself into the small town. He has been trying to rehabilitate an injury so he can get back to life in the military....he has no intentions of setting down roots. When he regains consciousness in the storm and claps eyes on Mallory, he has the unwelcome return of a sex-drive which has been dead for a while. But whilst he is happy to help Mallory explore her wild side, he has to make sure that, when he is fit for duty, she realises that he is long gone.

Mallory knows Ty is Mr All Wrong, but she vowed to explore her wild side and the man stirs her in ways that no one has in a long while. Ty is used to having no roots, no reason to stick around. But the problem with a place like Lucky Harbour is that people refuse to stay out of your business and let you keep yourself apart. With a set of nosy people worming their way into his business and a woman who stirs him like no other, is he really going to be able to up and leave when the doctor gives him the all clear? And when Mallory gets herself into a trouble at work over a issue which is close to his heart, can he really let her face her challenges alone?

I’m in the UK which means I can’t get hold of the Lucky Harbour Series on eBook. Yes, I know I could look at the paperback, but the other half has made me limit my paperback buying under threat of making me move into the room WITH my books. What all this means is that I haven’t read the first three books in the series....I tell you right now that is going to change! I love love loved this series and AM going to buy the other books. They are sweet reads with laugh out loud moments and some very smutty sex...it was just what I needed.

Mallory may seem sweet and innocent, but the constant pressure of having to be the nice Quinn is starting to take its toll. She can never be seen to just let loose and it’s darn tiring! When the storm hits, a couple of changes happen to her life. The first, and one of my favourite aspects of the book, is the Chocoholics club is formed. What this means is that the three women of the story get together to discuss life and love over chocolate cake. These meetings were actually some of the best parts of the book and had some moments which I truly adored and laughed at. The next thing was obviously that Ty was brought into her life... *swoon*.

Ty is awesome, a true Alpha wild man with a stubborn streak. He has lots of emotional baggage from his time in the forces and he doesn’t want to be attached to anyone, let alone someone as sweet as Mallory. Yet when she looked after him in the storm, he felt the spark of attraction and something more from her comforting embrace. He can’t help but crave that, so he takes himself out of isolation and puts himself into the limelight for her. When he gets her alone in that loft for the first time...*fans* Oh my, this book has some amazing sex scenes, but the desperation and sheer lust in that initial sexual encounter makes it my favourite. It’s quite clear that the both of them are fighting a losing battle from the offset; Ty goes against all his usual nomadic habits from day one to spend time with her and she is not the type of girl to have regular, emotionless sex with a guy. But, old habits die hard and fears run deep...it was never going to be a smooth run!

There are many other things to love about this book apart from the main story. I love small town books, and this one has the same feel to many others that I have read about. Everyone knows everyone else and seems to have an excessively long memory where indiscretions are concerned, everyone assumes that their opinion is needed and there are always some amazing characters present. I think one of my favourite aspects is the Facebook page and its constant updating with local gossip such as Ty sightings (AKA Mysterious Cute Guy) before he became less of a hermit. That people were stalking Mallory and Ty on a date to update the Feed made me chuckle.

I smiled through page after page of this book. It kept me reading well into the small hours and I can honestly say that I adored every aspect. It was funny, sexy and completely endearing...it’s a must-read!

Posted on Romancing the Books blogReviewed by JoAnneReview Copy Provided by the AuthorBook four in the Lucky Harbor series doesn’t disappoint except that the characters we’ve grown to love in the first three books in the series are only mentioned in passing and not really part of the storyline. Lucky in Love drew me in from the first page to the last but I was really hoping for a few more chapters because there was much more story to tell even though there is closure and a happily ever after. There is immediate chemistry and caring between Mallory and Ty although neither one wants to admit it and they both are struggling not to let the other know how they feel. They “get” each other and understand each other and it’s probably the first time in their life for each of them to have someone care for them this way. Their romance, very hot and steamy at times and other times oh so gentle, tugged at your heartstrings. There was also angst, tears, laughter, family and friends along with a town we’ve grown to love and there was a smile very often on my face throughout. Shalvis has become one of my favorite authors and I look forward to reading other books in the series. The next two books both had excerpts from them at the end of this story and really whet my appetite for more. If you haven’t read books by this author before, give her a try. Also, try to visit Lucky Harbor – you’ll be glad you did. Favorite Quote: …Chalk it up to the panic now residing in his hollow gut. Whatever he did here, whatever he came up with, he needed her to want to keep her distance. Except Mallory Quinn was incapable of distance when her heart was involved. That was both painfully attractive and terrifying. “Don’t fall for me, Mallory. That wouldn’t be good for either of us. We’re too different, you said so yourself.” She sucked in a breath like he’d slapped her. “And what, you and Frances are alike? Compatible?” “Unfortunately, yes.”

Mallory Quinn is an ER nurse who ends up in the local diner (named Eat Me) for a chocolate binge. She is chatting with her friend Amy when they notice the weather is getting really bad. Another woman in the diner, Grace, joins their conversation and they all realize that they are stuck there. That plan gets complicated when trees crash through the window and a local man nicknamed “Mysterious Cute Guy” gets injured outside the diner. MCG is actually Ty Garrison, a former SEAL and paramedic, who quit the service after a mission gone fatally wrong and became a private mercenary. After he is injured in that job, he ends up in Lucky Harbor under the care of local physician Josh Scott and is determined to go back to his job and get out of town ASAP.Mallory has been the local good girl, who grew up to be a nurse after the death of her teenage sister. Mallory is determined to start a health clinic that will serve the low income, unemployed, and mentally ill people in town who need medical help but don’t have health insurance. She has put together a fundraiser and is planning to go to it dateless. After Ty gets hurt, she sort of coerces him into going to the event as her date. Her friends both give her a big pep talk about letting loose and having some fun, presumably with Ty. Things don’t go as planned….Mallory and Ty begin a no strings relationship that develops into so much more. Mallory fools herself into believing she can let Ty go when he is healed. Ty is determined that even though he is feeling a lot for Mallory, he is not a good bet for the long term and needs to go back to his job out of the country. Both people have had tragedy in their lives that has left them with a heavy load of guilt and fear about letting other people into your life. Even though the chemistry between them is sizzling, they think they need to keep control of their feelings and not let things get too serious. The romance is HOT but tinged with the knowledge that it will probably not end well. This is an interesting romance with two people who need to fill a huge void in both their lives but are afraid to let each other in. The town is so small that they are seen together all of the time and the locals are documenting their romance on Facebook. Ty find himself becoming involved with people in town, in particular a broken down former Marine who is slowly killing himself with drugs and alcohol. Ms. Shalvis touches on the issues of PTSD, survivor’s guilt, and how hard it is to deal with. Ty and Mallory are perfect for each other and the love is there if they will just grab onto it. The book is a nice beginning to a three story series involving the three diner friends.

This is a Lucky Harbor story, about how Mr. Wrong met The Good Girl of Lucky Harbor. Mr. Wrong is Ty Garrison, an ex- Navy Seal Medic, who after losing his team in a devastating plane crash, which he barely survived himself, resigned his commission. He now works for a covert Government agency that essentially does what he did in the Navy, but not as a medic. He is again recovering from another injury, lured to Lucky Harbor by an old friend, and sparring partner. He lives a tortured existence feeling he can’t save anyone, least of all himself. We then have our Good Girl. Mallory Quinn is a trauma nurse in the Emergency Room. She is convinced she needs to try and save everyone! Her brother Joe is a playboy, her Mom is a nurse in the ER with her, and her sister Tammy is Bad Girl Turned Better, after a wild trip to Vegas. She came home married to a security guard, seems happy in her marriage, and working as a housekeeper at the same hospital. Her sister Karen, Tammy’s twin sister, died of a drug over dose, probably self –inflicted when Mallory was sixteen. She couldn’t save Karen, she has to try and save everyone else. Lucky Harbor, Washington is the town of so many previous adventures, and wonderful caring people. Perhaps, they care a little too much sometimes! They now have their own Facebook page, in case anyone missed anything at the Eat Me Café. Ty and Mallory’s story is funny, aggravating, tearful, and so SEXY! I would recommend this heartwarming story to anyone who likes to see Wrong and Good meet there happily ever after. Oh, and if you love Chocolate…you will love this novel!
