Cute book about a messy room-funny and good for storytime for elementary-aged kids.

When Wendall does not clean his room the pigs start to move in. At first he is having fun until the pigs start ruining his stuff, so he decides to clean up his "pigsty" of a room and the pigs go back to the farm.

Does your kid not clean up his room? I know, stupid question. Get Pigsty, an imaginative book where the pigs start moving in one by one when the main character turns his own room into a pigsty. Fun and nicely illustrated, and it could teach your little piggy why it's a good idea to keep your room clean.

This is a really cute book about a boy who does not like to clean his room. One day, he comes home and finds a pig in his bed. His room keeps getting messier, and more pigs keep showing up. At first, he thinks it is great. The pigs play monopoly with him, and he likes them. As time goes on, the boy decides that he really needs to clean his room. The pigs move out, but the still come back sometimes to play monopoly. This story is funny and teaches a lesson about cleaning your room.

Wendall's room is a pigsty (teach metaphor). Pigs move in, one at a time. Wendall doesn't mind at first, but eventually it's such a mess he can't stand it. Now the mess is more than he can handle, but he organizes the pigs to help him clean. Then it's too clean for them, so they return to the farm. But they come back once in awhile to play Monopoly with him.

I just love how the narrator read it! And the music in the background make it more interesting, it feels like i'm watching a cartoon.

Great book to teach readers how to make and confirm predictions .Great book to teach the problem and solution to strengthen comprehension. This book also, shows that living in a pigsty isn't very fun.

The kids and I didn't enjoy this as much as we thought we would. I think this was due to the coloring Teague used. The story itself has a very good moral to it though. I would recommend this for any parent with messy children.
Cheers and Happy cleaning kids!
