About this audiobook

It isn't the first time that identical twins Gillian and Melina Lloyd have switched identities. Melina, the more impetuous twin, proposes that her circumspect sister take her place as a media escort to NASA astronaut and national hero Colonel Christopher "Chief" Heart. Although it's an enticing offer, Gillian declines for a very personal reason. Besides, she warns Melina, such a switch could have unexpected consequences.
Media-savvy Chief turns out to be an easy assignment for Melina. But the following morning, police arrive at Melina's door with the worst possible news: her beloved twin has been murdered, and on the walls, scrawled in blood, are obscenities directed at Gillian, along with insults that indisputably link Chief to the crime.
Dissatisfied with the official police investigation, Chief and Melina form a grudging alliance. Striking out on their own, they uncover more questions than answers, and are eventually led to the threshold of an inner sanctum, where a megalomaniac lies in wait for Gillian's replacement, her identical twin -- Melina.
A story that reveals the powerful, almost mystical bond between twins -- bond that compels a woman to go to impossible lengths to avenge her sister, The Switch defies every prediction.

Suspenseful, romantic, riveting! But not in the abridged version, which this is. The original is 14 hours long and more than worthy of the time it takes to read. The audible version goes quickly and you can cook or do laundry while listening. I’ve read it twice and plan to read it again soon!
Someone said it was predictable, with soap opera characters. SO not true!! I hated putting it down, definitely one of Sandra Browns’ best!

Somewhat predictable, but the characters and storyline keep your interest. As children, identical twins, Gillian and Melina Lloyd, loved to switch places....it was fun and they wanted to try it as adults for one last time.....it turned out that this switch was a deadly idea.Patients at the Waters Fertility Clinic some how ended up murdered or had their children kidnapped/stolen after birth.Gillian Lloyd's murder after visiting the clinic for artificial insemination makes the police and her family become suspicious that there is more going on at the clinic than it appears.Love, lust, murder, revenge, and deceit all wrapped up into one. :)ENJOY!!

Over the top murder mystery with an fertility clinic back story and a Jim Jones type Religious Cult having a far reach that was pretty far fetched.

Awesome book. Very exciting. The Switch was a quick read, because I can’t put it down. There were so many twist and turns. Just when you think you have it figured out, there is another twist in the story, that leaves you shocked. I really enjoyed the ending as well. I gave it a 4 instead of a 5, only because, I did find the book confusing in places. One minute it’s Gillian, the next it’s Melinda.

Another good one from Sandra Brown. involving identical twins. Imagine the fun of writing a story around them confusing the characters and hoodwinking the reader. Disapointing ending, though.

The death of an identical twin leads her twin on a suspenseful search for the truth about the death. Added to the suspense is a Native American astronaut, artificial insemination, religious cults.....While not my usual genre, I was surprised how good this was. I have only read a [Sandra Brown] novel once several years ago. It is nice to find an author worth revisiting.

I only read this as it was delivered by mistake. Poor converstaion, telegraphed ending (almost inevitable from the title). Tedious. I won't be reading any more of her books.

This was the first Sandra Brown novel I've ever read. It wasn't too bad... though the characters' dialogues didn't seem natural. When I read them, I couldn't help thinking, "Oh, come on, who talks like that?" I found that distracting.
