About this audiobook

In picturesque Moonlight Cove, California, inexplicable deaths occur and spine-tingling terror descends to this "edge of paradise." Growing numbers of residents harbor a secret so dark it is sure to cost even more lives.

Tessa Lockland comes to town to probe her sister's seemingly unprompted suicide. Independent and clever, she meets up with Sam Booker, an undercover FBI agent sent to Moonlight Cove to discover the truth behind the mysterious deaths. They meet Harry Talbot, a wheelchair-bound veteran, who has seen things from his window that he was not meant to see. Together they begin to understand the depth of evil in Moonlight Cove. Chrissie Foster, a resourceful eleven-year-old, running from her parents who have suddenly changed and in whom darkness dwells, joins them. Together they make a stand against darkness and terror.

Good syfy thriller. Love Koontz anyway and it's pretty typical for this author as far as a good read. The audiobook was really good for escaping while driving with many trips to and from the hospital to sit with my extremely ill mother and take my mind off her pain.

It's a great book, but the narration could use some work.

It was way way way too long and way way way too wordy. The book realistically could’ve been half as long and probably much better

Superb pacing and incredible descriptive writing from Koontz, wonderful cross genre of Horror Sci -fi and a rather touching love story. A chilling villain in Thomas Shattock with an intriguing back story about his insane path to his monster invasion of midnight cove.

This author never disappoints! I pull up his name in a search instead of a name of a book I want to read.

Good read but not my favorite Koontz book. Predictable ending. Narrator was good.

Somewhat childish and boring. I used tonlose dean koontz, but if you read one book, the theme just keeps repeating itself.

Not one of the author’s better books. Too long for the premise; the content should have been edited down.

This is an awesome read. Way far out there but that’s what I like. I highly recommend this book. I didn’t want to ever put it down.

    I have one additional comment…
The majority of Mr. Koontz books ends in a rush not at all in line with the flow of the rest of the book. They just abruptly cut off leaving you with a, “really? what just happened?” feeling. This book ended in a flow that works with the whole book. It wound down and eased into the ending.

Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love Mr. Koontz books. He is one of my favorite authors, but I do wish he would end all his books with the flow that matches the rest of the book as this one does.
