About this audiobook

Widowed at thirty-three with two small kids, Beverly Simpson wants someone to blame. Angry, hurt, and full of regret for what she's lost, she rails against a once trusted God and hides her loneliness behind a sassy exterior.

Joe Clark, intrigued by Bev’s irreverent approach to life, stubbornly pursues her. However, the pair have two very different outlooks on life. Joe is a dedicated preacher, while Bev insists she no longer believes in God. Despite being polar opposites, they can’t hide their attraction to each other, but reconciling their beliefs may be harder than they imagined. Will faith and love be enough to mend a damaged heart?

Originally published in 1987, Tempted is an inspiring story of betrayal and trust that will refresh listeners.

What a wonderful book, so heartfelt and inspirational. I have read many of Robyn Carr's books and this one did not disappointment me. I love the subject matter because so often people believe pastors and ministers never tempted by the same issues as their congrigation. This book showed that they are human, even if they are doing God's work.An excelent book and great narator as well.

The story started slow. I wasnt sure if I was going to like it. The book offers a lot of perspective on life. Life isnt perfect and we have to go through trials to understand what we need. Joe continues to be patient with Beverly no matter what. She thinks running away fromhe issues is going help. It is fast pace at the end. I reccomend this book.
