About this audiobook
After a CIA agent mysteriously dies overseas, his top asset surfaces with a startling and terrifying claim. There’s just one problem—no one knows if she can be trusted.
But when six exchange students go missing, two airplane passengers trade places, and one political-asylum seeker is arrested, a deadly chain of events is set in motion.
With the United States facing an imminent and devastating attack, America’s new president must turn to covert counterterrorism operative Scot Harvath to help carry out two of the most dangerous operations in the country’s history.
Code-named “Gold Dust” and “Blackbird,” they are shrouded in absolute secrecy as either of them, if discovered, will constitute an act of war.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Brilliant book. This is one of Thor’s best books, no doubt.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wow! Another stunning thriller! Just when you think Brad couldn't top his previous masterpiece he knocks another one outta the park! Now on to Code of Conduct... ?
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The synopsis on the back of the book made this book seem awesome. However, the story was so disjointed that I could barely follow what was happening and didn't understand why some of the storylines were even taking place when they didn't even make a difference in the end. Very little character development and random jumping along caused me to not be able to get into the book. The only reason I didn't stop reading it is that I had paid full price for it and I had hope it would get much better.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Unfortunately, Thor's books are getting to be both predictable and boring. At times, they seem to be an excuse for more "torture porn". Moreover, with each successive book, lately, it seems as if Thor is as (or more) interested in trying to foist off one conspiracy theory or another onto his readers who will just accept what he says as "truth". I'm beginning to wonder if he believes some of the conspiracies he writes about.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I discovered Brad thor's book as I was searching political thrillers like Vince Flynn, the first book I listened was State of the Union. I loved it and started to listen all of the books I can find. This one is another excellent storyline. Can't wait for the next one.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I'm a big Brad Thor fan, and have absolutely loved all of the Scott Harvath books to date. I thought this was a much stronger book than Hidden Order (Scott Harvath #12), but like Hidden Order felt the ending was very rushed. I also thought there were certain parts of the ending that were completely unrealistic, which shocked me because Thor is an author who does A LOT of research. All in all, it was an entertaining, fast read.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Pretty good political thriller. The good guys are maybe too good and the bad guys too one-dimensional, but for a nice plane-ride type read this is pretty good.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This one belongs among the top books I've read this year, possibly among most national bestseller lists as well. A brilliant and, quite frankly, terrifying plot drives this tale as Scot Harvath finds himself scrambling to prevent an attack on American soil orchestrated by China. The motivations and details of the Chinese plot provide for one of the more jaw dropping moments I've read recently. If you're into thrillers, this is a must read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It’s fun, but full of corny “USA! USA! USA!”propaganda. Everyone is trying to kill us, diversity is evil and incompetent. Pretty par for the course.
