Reviews for First Comes Love
3 ratings1 review
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5First Comes Love presents the biblical and historic foundation of the family and its likeness to the Holy Trinity- Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This book by Dr. Scott Hahn provides insights and reflections of the ideal role and function of the family not only in civil society but in a spiritual community. Compared with his other works such as Hail Holy Queen and the Lamb's Suppers, First Comes Love is an easy read. Though deep in theology, his discussion on the human family and the Holy Trinity is easily understandable. At some points, there are topics brief in discussion and need to be expounded more. The last chapter that includes the References and Sources are helpful for those who would like a more in-depth study, research or read on the history of family development, civilization and relations with the Trinity.
