About this audiobook

In this inspiring six-book American Girl collection by Megan McDonald, a fun-loving San Francisco girl faces big changes. After her parents divorce, Julie moves away from her best friend Ivy to start over again in a new house and school. But before long, she learns to create a few changes of her own—from saving endangered eagles to celebrating the U.S. Bicentennial.

“Fast-paced and easy to read, this [collection] gives readers a realistic feel for growing up in the seventies.”—Children’s Literature

I loved this audio book! Julie and I share the love of basketball. One thing I don't like about it is that her parents are divorced I think everyone should know before they listen to this because for me at least that changed the way I thought about it. If you are say...very protective about what you want your kid to read then I would suggest you don't let them read it. What happens is that Julie has to solve problems in the first book Julie is trying to get on the boys basketball team but the couch won't let her because she is a girl... and so much more stories. Julie's dad is a pilot and her mom owns a store. Julie has two best friends T.J and Ivy is a Chinese American and T.J is on the boys basketball team.
