- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved the relationship between these two best friends, Darius and Twig. They are struggling to escape from their problems, and while life doesn't wrap up tidily for them at the end, the story would still be very encouraging to anyone who struggles with difficult situations.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is one of those that you read while saying "oh, no, don't do that!" often to the characters. Two boys find themselves trying to overcome the urban area they've grown up and the question the whole book is whether they'll be sucked into bad circumstances or successfully avoid bad situations. One is a sportsman, one is a writer. Metaphor and Shakespeare, specifically The Tempest, are woven into the book. Join these boys on the journey of trying to choose to do the right thing, even when it might come at the cost of their own success.
